It took me all day to decide to buy this book and I am so glad I did. Jenna isn't your typical young women she has been abused emotionally and physically by her ex boyfriend. Jenna is a beautiful girl but has a little extra weight and she sees herself has an overweight unlovable women. Her ex has done a number on her self esteem and she has come to believe everything he has told her. She is running from her horrible past and then she meets Ryker. Oh Ryker I so wish I could have known what he was thinking throughout this book! He was amazing. He was strong and compassionate. He liked Jenna from the very beginning and he wasn't shy in telling her. They fall hard for each other but there is one huge complication. Jenna is on the run and she is afraid her ex is closer then she believed! Can Ryker get Jenna to stay and trust him to protect her. Can Jenna give her whole self to Ryker. Can they be together or will her horrible ex ruin everything?I loved this book and the suspense. I can so relate to Jenna and her self esteem issues! It's hard being overweight and then to have someone point out your flaws and call you names is demeaning. I loved how we got to see her progression throughout the book! She turns into a strong motivated women.

For a couple of years Jenna Armstrong life has been terrible since a terrible car accident she has been running from her past, she stays in motels doesn't use her credit card scared she will be fount out by her ex boyfriend, shes constantly on the move her car breaks down she's force to stay in one place longer than she is used to. Jenna meets a mechanic Ryker he is a very bad boy. He instantly develops a connection with Jenna, but she can't quit understand his interests in her, Jenna has low self-esteem she feels unattractive thanks to her Ex. Jenna discovers her N Ryker share some similar heartbreaks in their past. Maybe this will bring them together but Jenna is not sure if she can trust Ryker Russo N his brother Mikey with her secrets especially with her past catching up with her, U cant help not fall in love with Ryker, Ryker changes her life giving her strength she didn't know existed within her. Can Jenna escape her past she has always longed for love happiness and a home.
Cut to deep is a Thriller For anyone who loves suspense mixed up with romance, I would highly recommend this book. U will fall in love with the characters Marissa's story's always draws U into her books. I couldn't put it down. U won't be disappointed
This was a first time reading this author, but I could barely put the book down until it was finished (1 1/2 days-LOL). Jenna, the heroine, started the story with a loser boyfriend who always put her down and she had a poor body image to begin with. Tragedy strikes and she is on the run & fearful, always looking behind her for her crazy ex. Ryker, a sexy, tattooed mechanic, finds her after her car breaks down and offers to help. He finds her shape and personality very tempting, but her past causes her doubt. Unfortunately, she knows her ex will try and find her and she wants to run, but Ryker refuses to let her and breaks down her walls. What happens next I can't say b/c I do not want to spoil anything, but I was reading furiously and hoping for my HEA, which I got. Would definitely recommend this book and read more by this author in the future.
I have only never finished 3 books in my life. This is one of them.
The supporting male character is just suddenly madly in love with the main character after watching her walk along the side of the road. Ok fine whatever.
She is nonstop nuts and he still is like "I really like you even though I know nothing about you whatsoever." Ok this is getting annoying.
It's the same repetitious content for the first half of the book.
I got to 46% when I decided to call it quits. I hate bad reviewing but I just could not read this further.
I've had this book for a little while on my TBR list and finally got around to reading it. I was a bit hesitant as romance is not one of my favorite genres and I tend to get a bit bored--thrillers are my thing. But was I ever pleasantly surprised by this book! Yes, there was lots of romance but not so much that it was sappy or overdone. I was completely taken with the mystery/thriller part of the story and the romance/erotic part just fit right in perfectly. I have to say I enjoyed every aspect of this book. The author is a very good writer too, the edits are done well and the story one that kept me turning pages fast enough to finish it in a day. I loved the characters and the main character was easy to relate to. I plan on reading a lot more from this author. If you're a fan of thrillers, try this one out.
Jenna was written with depth of character but acted almost reactionary, rather than with forethought. I felt the author had a good sense of the low self worth a lot of fat girls feel, but at the same time, it was mentioned too often. If she really ate as much as the author wrote, she'd have been more than 30 lbs. overweight.
There was no depth to any of the other characters. I had no understanding of Ryker, no sense of past, no idea of his motivations, except when it came to his brother, Mikey. I felt the author didn't do enough to convey his thoughts and attitude through Jenna's eyes.
Mostly, though, was the surface interaction of the last third of the book when we finally see Garrett. In the writer's world, we have a phrase, "As you know, Bob,". It's to indicate a scene where someone, usually the antagonist, spends time revealing all the hows and whys of their nefarious plot/plan. It's unrealistic and boring. I felt as if I was in a hamster cage, running on that circular wheel.
From Jenna's overdramatic reactions, to Mikey's well-done teenage responses, to Ryker's unrevealed motivations, a book like this should have had more depth.
